Buitendijk Techniek B.V., Zwijndrecht, was established more than in 1950 and since then accumulated a wealth of experience in the construction of all types of steel structures from simple steel components to the most intricate sections for all kinds of projects ashore and afloat.
These activities were later followed by the production of machinery and engineering equipment which included all kinds of manipulators for welding industry and other machine tools.
.Gradually the pattern of activities and production changed from sub-contracting to direct supply but always the aim to achieve the highest possible quality for the products prevailed. Individual and close attention is being paid to each construction detail, each weld and each connection. The strength of the end product is always far in excess of requirements and its quality complies with the most stringent demands.
.In 1987 Buitendijk took over SHF kranen, Schiedam for which company the firm has made numerous pedestals, crane foundations and steel constructions. Today the production of
all types of SHF cranes is continued at the Zwijndrecht site where modern production and testing facilities are the birth place for many specially designed and tested cranes for dredging and offshore contractors as well as for the onshore industries.
Explosion proof cranes and hoists are produced for the oil and gas, the chemical and petro-chemical industry, stationary and travelling portal cranes for the marine industry and overhead travelling cranes for the factory use.
Crane construction is based on 50 years of well documented construction and engineering experience backed by a computerized information system which enables the company to produce one-off quality products as well as a crane series of which every single item has the qualities of a tailor-made tool.
Every crane is thoroughly tested before leaving the factory and when required the crane is supplied with its certificate of approval from any classification authority. The crane makers have built their own well equipped testing site for this purpose. All cranes are built in the totally enclosed construction halls un-affected by bad weather conditions. Assembly is usually carried out under cover after which the load out to the testing site is completed.

They developed some sophisticated Gangway Systems which are easy to change according to customer demands.

.Since 1987 we are involved in crane on jetties. These crane are mainly used for hose handling and sometime for handling stores. Of course all thes cranes are in explosion proof execution. (Atex or UL).
Our cranes where also installed on the first HoseTowers in Rotterdam Port.
Later on we where invited by Saudi client to assist in the development of complete Multi Product HoseTowers.
During the last years we have been succesfully participated in the design, engineering, procurement and installation and commisioning of several HoseTowers.
